The Golden Vet Fund

Donations pay for veterinary care, and only veterinary care. Money is never handed to an individual, a finder or a rescuer. A verified participating clinic requests approved treatment for a specific animal, two people review it, and the fund pays the clinic directly against a final invoice.

Online giving is not open yet. Nothing on this page can take your money.

Where the money is

These totals come straight from the fund ledger. While giving is closed the ledger is empty, and we would rather show you zero than an invented number.

Cases the fund helped

No cases yet.

A case appears here only after treatment happened, the clinic was paid and the caregiver agreed to a privacy-safe summary. No names, no addresses, no medical detail beyond the category.

How a request becomes care

  1. A verified clinic submits

Only an authorised person at a verified participating clinic can request funding, with an itemised estimate and the caregiver's consent.

  2. Two people review

Reviewers check the estimate, look for duplicates and price outliers, and can ask for more information. Nobody can approve their own request or a request from a clinic they are connected to.

  3. Approved and committed

An approved amount is committed to that case. Emergencies below a set threshold can be fast-tracked, and every fast-track is flagged in the audit log.

  4. Paid against a final invoice

The clinic submits the final invoice and outcome. The fund pays the clinic directly — never a person — and the total appears above.

Participating clinics agree in writing not to raise prices for funded cases. If pricing looks inflated, the request is flagged and participation can be suspended.

Separate fund

Volunteer Support Fund

Rescue work costs volunteers real money: fuel, transport crates, emergency food, cleaning supplies. This is a separate, restricted fund that reimburses approved, documented expenses for authorised assignments. It is never a wage, never a donation to a person, and Golden Vet Fund money is never moved into it.

Approved volunteers can submit an expense claim here. Sign in to continue.

    Custody

    Who holds the money

No custodian is confirmed yet. Before a single colón can be accepted we will name the legal entity that holds the funds, in which country, with a bank account in that entity's own name, a signed agreement and a reporting schedule. Until then, giving stays closed.

    • Restricted funds are tracked separately and cannot be borrowed for anything else.
    • Every ledger entry is immutable and written by the server, not by hand.
    • Refunds, chargebacks and failed payments are recorded and shown, not hidden.

Any tax benefit depends on the legal recipient, the jurisdiction and your own circumstances. Please consult a tax professional.
