Donations
One promise: your donation pays for veterinary care.
The Golden Vet Fund is our primary model. Money is never handed to individuals. A verified participating clinic requests approved care for a specific animal, and the fund pays that clinic directly. At least 80% of every Golden Vet Fund donation goes to approved care; no more than 20% keeps the program verified, accounted for and safe.
Online giving is not open yet. Nothing on this page can take your money.

What monthly support may help provide
Approximate impact examples will be added by an administrator once real local costs are confirmed with the receiving organisations. We will not guess in the meantime.
These are clearly labelled estimates, not prices or guarantees. Real costs vary by clinic, season and the animal in front of us.
You will always stay in control
- Change your monthly amount or category whenever you like.
- Pause or cancel from your own dashboard — no email, no phone call, no retention tricks.
- Nothing is preselected, and there is no countdown pressuring you to decide.
Recognition
Impact Badges
Badges recognise showing up and the kinds of help you choose — never how much money you gave. There is no donor leaderboard, no public total per person, and donations never earn Amigo Points or change what appears in anyone's feed.
No badges exist yet: they can only be issued by the server from finalised contribution records, and there are none while giving is closed.

Amigo Cards
Illustrated cards follow a real case through its stages: help requested → verified and funded → support delivered → outcome achieved. Cards are private by default, drawn in the Animal Amigos style, and never show photographs of people.
Transparency
Recipients, receipts and tax status
- Every campaign names the organisation that would legally receive the money, with its jurisdiction, authorisation type, the official source we checked and when we checked it.
- For Costa Rica, a “verified eligible” label requires the recipient to appear on the Ministerio de Hacienda authorised-recipient list, with a legally valid receipt issued by that entity. Animal Amigos does not claim eligibility for itself.
- When an authorisation expires or is suspended, the public tax label disappears automatically.
- International supporters: Costa Rican eligibility does not automatically create a deduction in your own country.
Any tax benefit depends on the legal recipient, the jurisdiction and your own circumstances. Please consult a tax professional.
Fees: not decided yet. Receipts will be generated by or on behalf of the legal recipient, stored privately and shown only to the supporter and authorised admins.
Until giving opens, the most useful things you can do are reporting animals you find, fostering, volunteering and donating food or supplies directly.
